Tell me more about the Passholder Pouch

I've really been back and forth on whether to get one of the Passholder Pouches. Here is what I like about them:
Small and compact
obviously designed with a Disney trip in mind

Here are my concerns:
Can I skip bag check all the time or will I sometimes have to go thru bag check?
Is the cord strong/secure? I don't want to take a chance loosing stuff?
What is the length of the cord? No point wearing a Disney shirt if I'm going to cover it up with a royal blue square.

It will cover the front of your shirt but you could add an extented length of cord if you want. Mine really came in handy when I went last time. Did not have to wave thru my waispack every time I need my Pass or room key or fast passes. I also carried my reservation numbers with me for the places I at ADR'S for. Very nice.

We picked them up for this trip. The cord is kind of short for my taste, so I plan on either changing the cord or just attaching it to a belt loop.

Bag check at the parks? No.
Bag check at the airport? You'll have to run it through the scanner.

Is the cord secure? There are metal grommets on the pouch, and the string is run through those holes and knotted on each end. The knot is small enough that the cord will pull out with sufficient effort - that's a good thing, as if it was too secure it might pose a safety problem. I use use mine constantly, and the only time the cord has pulled out is when it got snagged on something while I was walking past.

Cord length? Approximately 16" to 18" from back of neck to pouch (if you were measuring it like a necklace... total length of about 36"). There's an adjustment slide on the cord to shorten it temporarily. For permanent adjustment you could either replace the cord to make it longer, or re-knot the cord to make it shorter.

Thanks Dave, that answered my questions. I wasn't worried about airport but really wanted to avoid the bag check line at WDW. I also wanted to know how difficult it would be to replace cord, so thanks, you read my mind.

I like the idea of extending the cord, as I like it over-the-shoulder, as opposed to around my neck, and DS would like that configuration more, too, I think. From what Dave said, it sounds like it's easy to just remove the existing cord and replacing with a longer one. Has anyone ever done that - pointers??
I just purchased one for each member of our DCL group in August, and can't wait to receive them!!

I like the pouch for my necessities like passes/fastpasses/id/credit card/cash. I also keep a pen and our ressies for the day. With four children I still take another bag, so can't comment on the bag check lines. I just like the convenience of it as my wallet. It keeps all the things that I deem hard to replace nice and handy. I think I am wearing mine in my signature picture....
