| Just got my DCL PP I just got my DCL Passporter and was curious as to why it is black and white. I guess I expected it to be in color like the WDW one. TIA! BTW...am I the only one who loves the smell of a new Passporter?!

| Congratulations, the DCL has always being in black and white. I would love it to be in color but I think it might cost more.

| It's always been in black and white - whether that changes in the future, who knows?

| Cost is indeed the factor. There's no way to produce the DCL book in color at anything close to a comparable price if we continue to print it here in the USA (which we do). Nearly all color book printing is done outside the US, mostly in Asia. While color is always nice, it's probably not as important for the DCL book (but I've been known to be wrong), and it's very nice to be able to print what we can locally (Ann Arbor is a center for book printing in the US). Our WDW guide is printed in Hong Kong. Originally, we printed that in black and white, too. The reasons we went to Asia were due to the costs of producing a book with pockets and that style of binding here. We added color as the years went by because we were able to trade up to color for an affordable price (the number of books printed over the years has also grown, and we took the savings that come with larger press runs and put that into improvements like color, too.)

| Ahhhh...okay. I'll take Black and white anyday if it's made in the USA! So far I love the guide...it is just as full of info as the WDW passporter. Great job!
