Alas, the book trailer contest closed last night at midnight (even though the new video author doesn't seem to realize that). Nonetheless, it seems the new video had more votes than we did at midnight.

As for how a newly-posted video could get that many votes, it would appear the new video's author is a YouTube celebrity. His channel has more than 44,000 subscribers. So even though his book trailer video doesn't have a huge number of views considering when it was posted (nine months ago), his channel is very popular. He created a video about how to vote for his book in the contest, and then all 44,000 subscribers saw it and -- being already members on YouTube -- were able to vote very easily for him.

Regardless .... and this is VERY important ... I am so VERY VERY VERY appreciative of your enthusiasm and support of the video and PassPorter. I'd much rather have that so much more than an iPad anyway. Despite not winning, I tried out something new (the book trailer) and felt bolstered and loved by all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

That was a very interesting competition to the end. There were so many good book trailers, and now I have a whole new list "to read" list.

I saw the winner's video. That is one smart, resourceful guy!

Good for him!

It ends the 15th of may people. I also found out that you can vote per movie (as in bad for his and good for Jennifer's. It could help her win. Does not matter how many votes you have. Just the highest "Like It" rating. So help her out.

Too bad Passporter didn't win. The other one was a real dark horse and seemed to come out of no where. You have a lot of loyal supporters to help you. Just didn't work out inthe end. Oh well.
