As a side note, you can go to Amazon and search Free Kindle FIre Apps DIsney and see what comes up. I read reviews and if its something I think I can use, download it. Also "Free Kindle FIre Books". Some websites/blogs also feature a list of free books daily or weekly. I have LOTS of books downloaded and have paid for only a handful. Good luck!

Ok, I was finally able to transfer it from my computer to my Kindle using the USB. It wasn't working from my office computer, but I did it through the laptop earlier. (Hubby was out of town on business for a few days and took the laptop with him so I had to wait until today to try it.)
If you connect via USB, you can copy and paste or drag the passporter file into the folder 'DOCS' on your Kindle Fire. The e-books like this show up under docs, not books. You can also e-mail yourself the file. If you look under the DOCS tab on your kindle, it will show your e-mail address to send it to under 'Cloud'. Once you e-mail it, it just shows up on your Kindle Fire.
