| Re: Busy season - run out of ECVs in the parks? Yes, I HAVE seen them run out of ECVs, and not necessarily during "peak seasons" either, and that's why we suggest renting and ECV from an "off-site" vendor. Please see the "sticky thread" about ECVs and wheenchairs at the top of this forum for more information ! |

| Re: Busy season - run out of ECVs in the parks? I was at MGM for Super Soap Weekend 2 years ago. We got there early, around 8 a.m. for a 9 a.m. opening and got an ECV for my friend's sister. About an hour later, we were all the way in the back of the park (by Lights Motors Action Stunt Show) when it died; apparently it hadn't been charged properly the night before. We finally got a CM's attention and they got us another one, but MGM was "sold out" of them by that time (about 10 a.m.) and we had to wait for them to bring a new one from another park (Epcot, I think), and we lost about an hour out of our day waiting. So, on busy days, they do run out, but they CAN bring them from elsewhere, if necessary. What we learned from this experience: test the ECV when you first get it to see if it's fully charged. Try all the speeds and directions too, even reverse. If it seems to be going REALLY slow, DON'T TAKE IT! |
