Guest Assistance Pass at DL??

Does DL also have the Guest Assistance Pass that WDW does? We got one when we went to WDW last February and it came in handy a few times when the line was very long for my Autistic Son. We are headed to DL in July 08' and hope to use the pass again when we need it

Re: Guest Assistance Pass at DL??

I looked on Disneyland.com and the only thing i was able to find was their disability guide book that you can download online Disneyland Guidebook
It doesn't state anything about a GAC card or similar but i would inquire at guest services because at one time they had a Special Assistance Card(SAC) but i remember hearing that they may have stopped issuing them.

I wish i had a more definite answer but it can't hurt to ask when you get there or maybe someone might have a number to DL's Guest Services and they could tell you over the phone?

Re: Guest Assistance Pass at DL??

The WDW Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities and the Disney website don't say anything about Florida having them, but they do. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you are able to explain your child's needs to Guest Relations, they should be able to help you.
When DL discontinued the Special Assistance Pass (which were basically all the same), they instituted the same sort of Guest Assistance Card as WDW has (which has accomidations based on need).
DL is a little different than WDW, because since it is older, it is less handicapped/wheelchair accessible. That makes a difference in the number of people needing accomidation and the places (like quieter places to wait) that some people with disabilities need.

Re: Guest Assistance Pass at DL??

Once again, may I suggest using the "Search" feature on the boards as we have covered this subject many times and do have some material in there on DL as well, Try going back a little further and I'm sure that you'll find some answers, but also, do be sure to head for Guest Assistance when you arrive and ask- the front deak at your resort (if you are staying on property may know something too!). Have a great trip
