| The Haunted Mansion can slow, or be stopped if need be. Pirates comes to a complete stop anyway as it's a boat ride. I'm not sure about the Clammobiles but I would think that can be slowed or stopped just like HM. My DH has difficulty walking (he uses a scooter then uses a cane to get on the rides) and he was able to get on the rides at the speed they were going (also had no problems at Peter Pan or Buzz)- which I would say is a slow walk anyway.

| I'm pretty sure they do that, because I've had momentary stops on those rides when they are letting Special Needs folks on the rides. I've seen them do that on Spaceship Earth while waiting to get on.

If you just need to see people boarding, you will be able to watch for short time as you are waiting to board. The CMs can't slow or stop the moving walkway at the normal boarding area though, only when boarding at the exit. Quote:
The moving walkway for Clammobiles can be stopped or slowed at the normal boarding area (this is where people with disabilities normally board). If you need the walkway slowed, you can tell the CM at the boarding area. You will be able to watch people boarding before you get to the boarding point. Peter Pan is one that can't be stopped or slowed (except in an emergency). You will be able to watch people boarding before you get to the front of the line for boarding. Quote:
If you feel like you won't be able to use the moving ramp, there is a small elevator down a short hallway to the left just before you get to the moving ramp. | |||

| I'm not positive about Pirates or Haunted Mansion as we've never rode either of them. I'm thinking that the clams in the Living Seas can be slowed (or at least the moving walkway can be slowed). I seem to remember it happening while we were waiting in line or just after we got on. I know that Spaceship Earth vehicles can be stopped as we were stopped on the incline going up as well as a few other places in the ride. Just before we were getting off the ride was stopped again to allow a few people to board that needed extra help.

| As SueM posted, the only ride that cannot be stopped for REGULAR loading/unloading is the Peter Pan ride, largely due to the "hanging" nature of the ride vehicles. Make sure you speak to the CM, as there is a special loading procedure that makes it a LOT easier to get on the ride, and is a lot less pressure, but means you have to get on the ride from the exit to give you more time to board your boat. I've gotten on both in the regular queue and using the exit, and it is far less stress using the exit. Hope that helps! Tim |

| Another ride that they will not stop is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I had asked the CM at the ride at the escalator leading up to it when I was there on my honeymoon. It took both me and my parents to stand between my husband on the inclining moving ramp to support him and to get him in the vehicle itself. We didn't complain however, as they had stopped the moving ramps at every other ride we went on, with the exception of Peter Pan.

| Everyone pretty much answered. I'd just like to second what Tim said. Make sure you mention this to the cast members and don't try to board without slowing the cars if you are not sure. THey are always more than happy to slow things, or at least keep a close eye to see if the attraction will need to be slowed. Have fun!

| On some ride you can roll your wheelchair right on. I think if u have a small chair like mine they let u on with no problem.

| Todd, about how long do you have to wait for a car that will accommodate a wheelchair?

| Wheelchair vehicles are usually once per cycle unless they have two running. It can be a long wait. Tell the CM greeter that you need the vehicle slowed or stopped. At loading and unloading ask for them to slow or stop. Most rides can be slowed or stopped except for peoplemover and peter pan.

Tips; if you or your love ones have a quickie chair power or not and it not to long or wade look for the sing that say transfer to another chair (theirs), you can stay in your chair and make sure to tell them (when they ask) you can't transfer. Sorry for those who have a scooters and hospital's type wheelchairs you have to get out. From Todd Neuman, Neuman Wheelchair Travel
