| Elevator at Pop Century? This may be something I've overlooked in a previous thread, but does anyone know if there are elevators available at the Pop Century resort? My parents, my son and I will be visiting the World for a week starting June 14th (first trip for all three of them, my fourth) and we're staying at Pop Century but I've managed to tear two ligaments in one of my knees. Its almost healed, but stairs are still an issue and I don't want to push my luck. Also, I just wanted to say that the wealth of information on this board is simply wonderful. Our little party alone has a host of various medical difficulties and disabilities and I've been able to find out all sorts of things about accomodations that I had no idea existed. -Joie |

| Yep, there are elevators, but it might be a good idea to request to be placed close to one due to a temporary mobility issue.

| I am SO sorry to hear about your injury! Pop Century is VERY spread out, so you'll want to request a close room for sure. Also, for some rooms, you'll save major distance if you exit from the back and enter from the back of the area where the food, bus, main desk is. Look at your map and plan out your step savers.

| I've had good luck getting a ground floor room at Pop, so as others have suggested, I would request one of those.

| Thanks for the welcome and the advice. We'll definitely try to request a room that's close and on the ground floor and see what we can get. My knee's not doing too badly at this point, since it's almost completely healed, but it can be a little finicky sometimes so its better to be safe than sorry. If, for some reason, they can't accommodate the request (I know we're going to be at one of the most crowded resorts during a very busy part of the season), its good to know that there are at least elevators so I don't have to brave the stairs. -Joie |

| GLad we could help. Also, be sure to PLAN PLAN PLAN those steps. THere are several touring plans already in the PassPorters, or you can get a map and plan your own. You just don't want to waste steps because the parks are very large. Make sure to consider making a loop to enter and exit for transportation back to your room when you make your plans . One time we didn't do that, and we ended up having to walk the entire length of the park to get to where the car was. THere are also cute trolleys and a boat in world showcase. Every step helps!
