| I think it would depend on how early or late you arrive before the show. I always show up later & have gotten to my seat in about 10 minutes.

| Fanstasmic is worth the wait, but here is a tip that seems to be what I see. THe lines seemed to move pretty fast, but it can be like walking in a sea of people! Even if it moves without stopping, it is, I'd guess, a good five to ten minute trek. If you don't like crowds, give yourself better than an hour to walk to the seats. IF it is congested, I have seen some pushing and shoving and general boundary violations of personal space. (Think NYC subway at rush hour.) Better to relax in your seat early if that is important to you. CMs will all suggest grabbing your seat an hour before show time. I wonder if the CMs give you the idea that you MUST be in line way before it really is even necessary. It occurred to me that they MAY do that for crowd control. The theatre has about 6500seats and there is space to accommodate over 2000 people in standing-room-only. Could you imagine if 8000people decided to rush the place all at once? On the other hand, the show starts right on time, so if you get there late, you'll miss it! Last time I went in 2008, I started walking the Fantasmic path 30 minutes before, and I got a GREAT seat. Before that, I've cut it as close as getting to the entrance 15 minutes before show time without a problem at all. If there is alot of rain that day, the crowds tend to thin out. If there is a special event like There are usually two shows, with the second show being much less crowded, so I always go to the second one. THe trick is to have fun while you are waiting. My favorite thing is to be the first person to start a wave. That'll be good for 35 minutes of stuff that you hope no one ever puts on UTube! You can also watch the CMs setting up, eat a snack, people watch, check out the stage in the light, or just enjoy the energy of being in a huge mass of hyped up humanity. (THat is MY favorite thing!)

| My hubby (Dan), Amy (iamgrumpy) and I went to the first show on June 8th. We got to the entrance of the line/hike to the Ampitheatre about half an hour before showtime. It was already Standing Room Only and the CMs were warning everybody that was making the trek up. I was in a wheelchair, my hubby was pushing me, and Amy was using her cane. They escorted us to a slightly elevated fenced area at the back of the theatre behind the main walkway. I felt bad for Amy and Dan because I at least had my seat, but Dan had to stand and Amy just sat on the ground where she couldn't see the stage at all. And it was hard to see some of the show (the boats and waterscreens) because of the stream of venders and people walking to the food stand during the show. So I would recommend arriving at the entrance quite a bit earlier than 30 minutes if there's any sort of crowd at the parks. When we were leaving the show, the line for the 2nd show was already crammed.
