There is also Hypoparathyroidism but I'm not as knowledgable about it.
I have Hypothyroidism. I have fatigue and joint pain when I am not on my meds. The lack of thyroid produced hormones also causes ALL of your organs to slow down. (At one point my heart rate was down to 47 because I had not been on my meds for a long time.) It also causes severe weakness.
With the proper medication dosage, I am able to live without joint pain, no fatigue due to the hypothyroidism (it is just stress and constantly pushing myself to get things done) and I have a regular heart rate.
I don't usually post the actual disgnoses because most people aren't familiar with the terms, but you can add Kabuki Syndrome and Primary Hyperoxaluria to the list. We travel with a child with these diagnoses.
Our 22 year old son has Wilson's Disease - a rare genetic disease (which we'd never heard of before last year) which caused copper to accumulate in his brain. He has severe spasms, dystonia, and can't speak, swallow or chew as a result. Our first trip with him since he's been sick is next week - can't wait to get him to Disney again! =)
Sleep Apnea and a Hemophiliac here. Getting through airport security is so much more fun now...
