| Hi! My family went to WDW in June. Our 35 year old son is recovering from brain surgery due to complications from injuries suffered in a car accident June 2006. We all had a great time at WDW. We stayed at Pop for 10 days and toured all the parks. We were on the meal plan also. If you have any questions, or if I can help make your trip as great as ours was, just drop me a line or e-mail me at Txmamamarsh@aol.com. Please title your e-mail "WDW FRIEND" or I will probably delete it as spam! Have a WONDERFUL TRIP! Anyone with family that has ANY loved one with ANY disability DESERVES a FUN TIME! Mama |

| Well I have major stomach problems! Something I will throw up after eating. (Now that really cuts down on the number of times I get invited out to dinner). But really the worst thing I have is a foot/ankle that I fractured about a year ago. Sometimes it startes hurting big time. The last time it hurt(About a 9 in hospital pain talk) was at EPCOT during a major rainstorm. So for a little while I couldn't walk enought to go to the clinic to get my foot bandaged. I sat down at a bench till I could walk again. I then walked into the information station. They told me where the clinic was at EPCOT. It was so far away I just walked to the Monorail instead. I feel guilty about posting this since it is a minor problem compared with some of the things here. sorry, scott

| DS- Rare chromosomal disorder with developmental delays, GERD, sesory neural hearing loss, seizures, and non-verbal. We stayed at Coronado and the 1st night we went to MGM. The Guest Relations guy was wonderful and helped us right away. He gave us our GAC card, so that we could use a stroller with DS. They were super helpful and made our trip even more magical.

| Hi everyone! We're planning our first trip to Disney World with our DS. He's going to be 8 on our first day there and he is so excited. He has ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and a mild tic disorder. Bottom line - he's sensitive to unexpected loud noises, flashing lights and major changes in plans. We're prepared with earplugs, a very specific schedule with breaks, pin trading, autographs (he's finally over his phobia with the characters - thank goodness LOL) and a list of characters he is trying to see. Here's my problem: He loves roller coasters! He loves going fast and spinning around. But all his other "fears" also have to be taken into account. The scary 3-D stuff is out. Are there any attractions/rides that you have found to be a little too much for a sensitive kid? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!! Lorri |

| Hello All. I suffer from PTC - Psuedo Tumor Cerebri. I have both VP and LP shunts in place with a magnetic pump. I also deal with type 2 diabetes and asthema. My youngest DD suffers from ADD and at 15 is struggling with depression. My step-father will be joining us in during our WDW visit in July. He suffers with several severe disabilities related to MS at just 44 years young. My DH and my Mother will be looking into scooter rentals; I noticed that Passporter supports Buna Vista Rentals, so we'll definately be looking into them. Thanks! |

| Hello Everyone! I've been to Disney as a Type 1 Diabetic a bunch--on syringes, the pen and the pump. The CM's are wonderful and genuinely cared for my condition. ![]() Recently, though, I have been diagnosed with rapid cycling Bipolar 1.

| My DD (see sig pic) is 21 (18 days shy of 22) and has Hurler's Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes all sorts of problems and varies from person to person. She is diminutive in stature at only 43 inches tall. She has stiff joints that can be worsened by excessive walking (though she'd never let you know at WDW). She has corneal transplants in both eyes due to clouding of the corneas due to Hurler's Syndrome. She is mentally handicapped, but she knows ALL about Disney and every birthday in our family plus those of hundreds of friends. She is warm and loving and keeps the magic in our family 24/7.

| Hi All, We will be traveling to WDW in early December with my parents. We are staying at the Poly, and have reserved a wheelchair accessible LV room (in Tahiti long house). Traveling to & from FL via the Amtrak Auto-Train. DF is a stroke survivor who will be using a wheelchair for mobility issues. He also has Aphasia. And he is currently recovering from Dysphagia (but passed his swallow test last week--after a week of close supervision while successfully eating pureed foods, he is now moving on to more 'normal' foods). |
