| I did not know some of my medical issues was considered a disability, but one i do not see on the list is Cancer( any form), those going through treatment, survivors, and post surgery. My husband also has Kidney problems due to the cancer, and insulin dependent diabetes, I have a form of COPD called chronic bronchitis, severe allergies requiring the use of an epipen and arthritis (RA and osteo) I think this is a good thread to let everyone know that anyone can go to Disney. | ADHD We will be travelling in Dec. 09 with our 6yo son with ADHD. We went in fall 2007 before we knew what type of issues he had, and now his meltdowns when he had to wait a long time make sense. |

Thanks. I have no doubt he will make it and be just fine. He wasn't expected to live at all and then I was told he would have severe brain damage. Well, he survived and he doesn't have severe brain damage. He is very intelligent. He uses sign language to communicate and is starting to speak some words. He has taught me so much about life and is such a joy! I can't imagine my life without him. He is almost 3 and can walk with a walker but of course, tires easily. He's still in a stroller but it's good to know that WDW is wheelchair friendly for future reference. Thanks again! It's always nice to hear from those who have been through the challenges he has faced and will face in the future. All the best to you!

| Well...I have two things to add (wonderful list, BTW)... This was only a *temporary* disability/issue when I was at WDW... higher-risk pregnancy/confined to a wheelchair (that or my OB wouldn't let me go). And WDW staff was absolutely wonderful. Also...my younger son has sensory integration disorder (SID), also called sensory processing disorder. Sometimes it is grouped/classified with autism. We will get to see the services on DCL with his delays...and I'll probably post something about it then.

| DS (8)-Aspergers Syndrome, Expressive Language Disorder, Sensory Integration Dysfunction It's awesome to see all these families who don't let their disabilities keep them from enjoying vacationing!
