Unable to transfer from chair for some attractions

Hello,

I am unable to transfer from my manual wheelchair for some attractions in the Parks. It has been several years since I was there last and was wondering what are some good things to be sure to go to when I do go (possibly next Spring).

Thank You,
Tracey

Re: Unable to transfer from chair for some attractions

Hey Tracey! I did some research in my handy-dandy Passporter for you. I will list all of the attractions in the parks that you do not need to transfer for. If you would like a list of the ones you need to transfer, I can give you that as well. Also, some of the rides say must transfer from ECV to wheelchair, I assume this is not a problem for you because you use a wheelchair. If it is, I can mark which ones are.

Re: Unable to transfer from chair for some attractions

Thank you for your reply. Another question I guess I have is of those you listed, does anyone have favorites that they would suggest going to and which ones not to bother with? I am 36 and my parents are in their 60s.

Re: Unable to transfer from chair for some attractions

There are only a couple things that are not worth it, like the Hall of Presidents and some of the shows (Playhouse Disney?) Everything else is pretty much worth it.

Re: Unable to transfer from chair for some attractions

Some of these that Kristin listed I had to transfer from the chair this past August. They were: Aladdin, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, WDW Railroad, Journey into the Imagination, Great Movie Ride and Triceratop Spin. Also, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid is a very tight squeeze through the doors of the preshow area into the theater if you have a wide chair. In fact, saw one lady who had to get out, fold her chair down a bit to go through the door (that was in 2002).

As to the ones worth seeing, it depends entirely on your own likes and dislikes. Kristin mentioned Hall of Presidents as not being worth it, and I love it. Won't go to MK without seeing it. Truly, it is worth the time to see the ones on which you are able to take your chair. Then decide if you want to do them again or not. There are some attractions I won't do again (such as Dinosaur), but I think everyone should give them a try if it is possible. You never know which attraction you will find especially enjoyable or endearing, or which one you'll give the raspberries. Have a great time finding out
