| We requested a first level condo at OWK in July for my Dad. That way he just parked it in the living room at night and was able to plug it in to recharge. It was easy in and out for him, even with the larger style. |

| When going to bed I have my chair backed in next to the bed so it is easy transfer and I have it plug in right there. The charger is ether on the other bed or on the floor next to an outlet.

| I own mine and when we go anywhere I always take it into the hotel/motel room. Easier to recharge the batteries. I have had one bad experience where the scooter didn't want to fit in a room BUT after rearranging things a bit, we had no problems. Just remember to 'reset' the room back to normal. |

| Also, bringing a power strip to plug into the outlet gives you more options. It's kind of like bringing the outlet to the scooter instead of trying to get the scooter to where the outlet is. |

| Won't they ask why you have a power strip in a suit case at the airport? Or take it out of there?

There are no rules against having a power strip. It's not something that could be abused on the airplane, which is all they care about. And, if anyone questions why you have it, you would just explain that you need it to plug in your scooter. I prefer not to plug any electric device (computer, my daughter's communication device) into an outlet without having a surge protector, which our power strip has.

Here's a link to the company that makes the device my daughter uses: Prentke Romich Company -- Vantage Plus The device is arranged so that the words that would be used most frequently in conversation actually are on the first 'page' (the one in the picture). But, you can also program specific pages or buttons into it. I programmed pages for each Disney park into my daughter's device, using pictures I found on the internet. If you are interested in seeing one, here's a link to the MK page I made: http://photopost.wdwinfo.com/data/50...K_page-med.jpg

| My DH and I just got back from a trip to WDW in November and I rented a scooter from Walker Mobility. I will be renting from them again when we go back for our birthday in March (my DH and I actually share the same birthday ).They delivered my scooter the night before we arrived so that it was ready for me when we checked in at the hotel. Getting on and off the buses took a little getting used to, but by the end of the week I was a pro. In the past I have rented ECVs in the parks for the day. That is always a gamble though because sometimes they would all be rented before I got to the park which would make for a less than wonderful day for my bad foot. I did notice this November that there are new ECVs in the park and their supply seems to have increased which is good. Melissa Last edited by Wintersong; 12-09-2008 at 03:32 PM.. | Scooters - 3 or 4 wheels? I have tried the ECV'S at places like Target and Wal-Mart, but wanting to know what other people think about the choice between the 3 and 4 wheeled carts. I'm about 120 lbs and I have really great trunk control, but I can also have equillibrium issues that some times make me feel like the cart might tip over if I'm going up or down hills, or going around tight corners with big crowds. I'll be at WDW from June 27-July 5th 2009 and looking to wear my braces and crutches so that I can transfer to the rides and not get to tired, but I want to see what people feel about the stability and how the carts from outside vendors ride and their price and reliability. Which place is the best to rent from with the least amount of hassle and the best price. Thanks for all your advice! Cat

| I own a Revo it's 3 wheels & very easy to use. It's smaller size makes it very maneuverable too.. Many of the companies rent them. When I soloed I rented instead of bringing my own. Rented it from scootarama..
