| 3 Wheeler Here I too own a Revo 3 wheeler and love how it handles in tight places. It has a tighter turning radius than a 4 wheeler and as such you can take it places easier than you can with a 4 wheeler. As to tipping over, if while turning, you try to go at a higher speed, yes, you can tip then over, but you can do the the same thing with a 4 wheel car. Caution is always required when making tight turns. I, unlike the last poster, took my own Revo when we flew back to WDW and like out here at Disneyland, found that I did not have a single problem in getting around the parks. |

| Who rents the largest weight capacity scooters? DBF is supersized and though walks with a cane at home, can not possibly manage Disney without assistance. He is right around 500 lbs. I've seen alot of 450 lbs scooters, but very few that go up to the 500 lb level or larger. Anybody know of a rental place that can accomodate the largest of folks? Thanks for any help you can give.

or call them, toll free, direct at 866-484-4797 and ask them. If they can't help you maybe they know someone locally that could. There are severl other scooter rental outfits in and around WDW but I know Buena Vista because my DW used then on our last trip back there and they were good. Good luck searching for your answers. | |

| If you read through this thread you will find the names of several ECV rental companies in the Orlando area. Take the time to call them and explain your needs and see who has a vehicle that would meet your needs. Check on the service policies because service may be more important than price. Please let us know what you encounter and post it in this thread. Have a great trip!

| After calling several of the places on the list, I seem to be coming up short with options. I have done some research and there is a new model out by amigo the B-6 that can accomodate up to 600lbs that would work, but no one seems to have it yet. Thank you for your help though.

| Larger scooter possibility ? I have been researching scooters for myself for my trip in late June and carrying over into the 4th of July holiday and came across a website called Scooter Vacations with the website of Scooter Rental Orlando for disney world, seaworld, universal studios, islands of adventure, cape carnerval cruises, epcot On the site, there is a scooter that can carry of up to 500lbs. The model is called The Dream, and to me it looks more like a motorcycle than a scooter, but it doesn't seem portable so it would be best to use it on property transportation only. Hope this helps.

| Renting an ECV from an unfamiliar company I recently did a search for a scooter to rent at the parks and came across a site for Apple Scooters at a really good weekly rental rate ($145 a week plus tax.) Has anybody ever used them, and if so, were there any problems. I'll be at the WDW Dolphin for 8 nights/9 days from June 27- July 5, 2009. I know that it's a really crowded time to go, but it's for a conference/vacation so I don't have any choice about the time. The weekly rate is for 3 or 4 wheeled vehicles, so I'm trying to see which would be better for the parks. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Cat

| I have never used them either but you'll find that most EVC company's in the area are closely watched. As to 3 or 4 wheeler's, let me tell you as an EVC owner, you want a 3 wheeler. They handle tight corners much better and when you are trying to get on and off of the bus's, that is about as tight as they come. lol And no matter what some may say, a 3 wheeler does NOT tip over as easy as some may say. Oh sure, if you want to 'hot rod' around a corner, then you may tip but I am sure the average person has outgrown that stage of their life. lol |

| Ditto on the 3-wheelers! They are much easier to handle and you won't be wiping out barricades or lines of people! As for the scooter by the name of " The Dream", we had a thread that discussed it a few months back (try using the "Search" feature at the top of the page and you should come up with the topic)- I seem to remember that the thing could not be used on Disney transportation as it was just too darn big!
