DME and wheelchairs? Has anyone used DME with a person in a wheelchair? We are going down in July and I am not sure if I should use this. Last time we took Mears and had no problems, but that was before DME

Re: DME and wheelchairs? I would call and ask. I know the bus we were on was definately not wheelchair equiped but that's not to say they don't have some that are. Definately call. It might be something that you need to arrange for ahead of time anyway. - Good Luck!

Re: DME and wheelchairs? The busses do not look accessible, but on ours they used a lever on teh back seats and the back row or two slid forward and the chair fit there with the tiedowns that are otherwise hidded under the seats. I do not know if all the busses have this. When we got over to the DME desk, I about died when I saw the long line, DH in the mens room and then a cast member whisked me up to the front, over to the side and got us settled, said we'd have to wait 15 min or so for the bus, so I went to the ladies room and while I was in there DH is hollering for me to come out they're ready to load us! It was all very effecient. No sense paying for special transport, they had it all taken care of. Good luck! Edited to add that there was a lift at the back of the bus that easily accomodated DD10 in her chair as well. Joan WDW October 2005
